Ana-Lucía for solo guitar
Ana-Lucía for solo guitar was commissioned by An Tran to celebrate his young daughter Ana-Lucía, who is two years old at the time of this composition. In this work, I wanted to portray several facets of a parent’s experience with a young child: the child’s energy and excitement; her playfulness, rambunctiousness, and temper tantrums; and the calm and tender rituals of naptime and bedtime.
